Garden Books

The beauty of the Kings Gardens is indescribable. This morning I left my little apartment and journeyed off through Kings and to its gardens. Although I am technically a student at Pembroke College, I was able to swoon the Porter into giving me a C1 key, the key that allows you to enter through the gates of King’s Garden. I found a bench situated inside the enclosure of several trees. The sun was just peaking through the trees offering a beautiful display of light within the little covert. It was amazing to listen to the birds chirp and the trees rustle through the wind. The weather has been absolutely amazing and I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. The libraries throughout cambridge are incredible, but sometimes I need to just be out in nature where the fresh air allows me to think so much clearer. It makes me miss Idaho just a bit…
I have made it a habit to carry my dayplanner and little Portuguese dictionary around with me everywhere I go. This way I can write things down as I feel inspired and save myself the distress of constatly forgetting things that happen throughout the day, and I can discover the Portuguese words for things I see as I walk. Kailey was even kind enough to get me a missionary day planner from the senior missionary couple here in Cambridge… As I read back through the little notes that I make throughout the day I have realized that my days are never boring or dull!
