I realized that it would be better for me to write the majority of my blog posts in English because the majority of my friends and family who follow my blog, well, speak English. And those who do speak Portuguese probably have a hard time deciphering my writing when it is in Portuguese. Don’t get me wrong though, I am still going to write in Portuguese, but I will do a better job at translating it into English so you do not have to use google translate for every blog post (although that is a good idea and you will learn some new portuguese words).
For the past few days I have been working and throughout the rest of this week I will be working on a video about my adventures thus far in Europe. It is for a competition through BYU’s study abroad center, and has the potential to earn me some extra cash for another adventure down the road! The deadline is this upcoming saturday, the 5th of October. All the videos submitted have to be made by students who have been on study abroad programs through BYU’s study abroad program. They will be uploaded to BYU’s channel on Youtube, and a two week voting period will start where those videos with the most views and comments will proceed into the next round. So, like and comment on my video! I will post more information near the end of the week.
It has been an incredible experience for me to reflect on all the wonderful times I have had these past four months and reminisce the great times I have had with new and old friends. I have learned that the people you have close to you are the most important part of life. Over the past four months I have developed relationships that I will always have, and I have discovered that true happiness comes from your relationships with the people around you.
Thank you to all the wonderful friends in my life. You give me reason to smile.
