Apple Blueberry Floca
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/4 tsp. canela
1/8 tsp. clove
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Mix the above ingredients in a bowl with 1-1.5 cups water and microwave for 1 minute.
1 Tbs. honey or 1 Tbs. Vanilla Protein Powder
Add after the oatmeal has had a chance to cool for a minute.
1 medium apple-diced into bite-size pieces
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
Add fruit, the more the better, and enjoy!
I love creating new recipes that are healthy and delicious. One and a half years ago I decided to change my lifestyle and developed a passion for discovering creative new ways to eat healthy. Since then I have never looked back, and I love every day of it. Now that I am in Portugal with a friend who loves eating healthy as much as I do, I have been able to experiment with new spices and flavors from Portugal and from all around the world. We have experimented with every type of spice and herb imaginable and it has been a wild journey discovering what we love and what we probably will not try again.
We eat nearly grain free, with oatmeal and popcorn kernels being the few still left in our diet. Let me tell you, I have felt the difference like night and day since I gave up eating lots of grains. My face has cleared up, my body feels great, and I constantly have energy. It is easy to exclude them from your diet, as there are so many other healthier options of foods to eat. There are thousands of vegetables can be flavored with the most typical to the most exotic spices and herbs, and fruits that make better desserts than any cake or pie I have ever tasted. Fish, chicken, turkey, meats spiced with the most savory fresh herbs are all you need to keep your taste buds happy.
I like to eat as raw as I can. The closer to the earth you can eat, the better it is.
