Cardamom Granola

Swiss Cardamom Granola

Serves: 4-6
Ingredients
  • 6 green cardamom pods
  • 2” piece cinnamon
  • 4 cloves
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup raw almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Preheat over to 300.
  2. Blend together spices.
  3. In a large bowl mix old fashioned oats, almonds, pecans, and spices.
  4. Combine the maple syrup, honey, and vanilla and pour over the oat mixture.
  5. Stir until evenly coated. Add salt to taste.
  6. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes, stirring after 20 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, cool, and store in a quart-size mason jar.
