02 June 2016 Last Day in the Amazon

This morning Susan departed early for a flight, dwindling our group to only four people.  We spent the afternoon exploring a nearby animal refuge and did a canopy walk through the jungle treetops (48 meters tall).

We saw different kinds of monkeys, birds, cats, bears, and wildlife that are all present in the Rainforest – but are often hard to see.  Going to the Refuge allowed us to envision what kind of animals are actually in the Rainforest (because it is so big and you could never see them all).

Leaving the Amazon is a sad moment, but I know that we will all be back – and soon.  We leave our love with one of the most beautiful Reserves in the world.

Until next time Amazon.
