The Frontline Heroes

Coronavirus. We hear about it in the news, but often only about the victims. But it’s a virus that is affecting all of our lives. 

We are all on the frontlines, fighting together against an enemy that we can’t even see, but we know it’s there and we are determined to fight it together.

Our healthcare systems are at war. But so are our airlines, restaurants, factories, hotels, stores, farms, schools, and homes…

Nurses, Doctors, and health care workers risk their lives saving others. Retired Medical personnel have come back to work, and medical students are pulled from school to help.

Hotels are opening their doors to provide rooms for nurses, doctors, and sick patients who have been in infected areas and can’t go home to their families at night.

Parents who go alone while their partner cares for others and can’t risk coming home. Mothers who are at home with all their children, and nanny’s who are home out of work with none. 

Flight attendants and pilots give up pay to keep airlines afloat and continue to service a few planes so family members can reunite during a time of need.

Teachers continue to teach and stay connected with their students. Transforming their classrooms into online zoon sessions and google hangouts.

Small businesses who have shut their doors. Farmers who continue producing food. Grocery store workers keeping stores clean and stocked. Custodians and Janitors keep infected areas clean.

Truck drivers, longshoremen, and cargo workers who keep goods in stores, and online. Mental health workers, social workers, and volunteers.

Coronavirus. As much as we try to hide, it’s affecting all our lives.

Stay at home. Take care of those you love the most. Nominate someone you know.
