Sometime disaster strikes and there is nothing you can do about it.  I lost my phone today, something that you never actually think will happen-until it does.  We arrived on Ko Phi Phi, went to the beach, ate some lunch, and then ran into a tourist office to escape one of the downpours that frequently occurs in this part of the world.  I set my phone down on the travel agents desk for no more than 5 minutes and when I looked back it was gone.  I didn’t believe it at first.  I checked my bag, all my pockets, and interrogated everyone in the office as to whether or not they saw where it went or whether they had it.  It was no where to be found.  I have started doing one second videos everyday since the beginning of this semester and haven’t figured out how to save them onto my computer (more than my phone, I am sad that I lost those)

I wish we could have known about Ko Phi Phi earlier.  It really is the gem of the Thai islands.  It takes quite a long time to ferry between the islands so by the time we left our hostel, rode in a taxi to the ferry port, and took the ferry to Ko Phi Phi it was already approaching 1pm.  Before we left out hostel we thought that we would only be going for the day, but by the end of the evening we knew that we could be staying at least one night, possibly two.
