Kylie Chenn, Founder & CEO Acanela Expeditions

Kylie has spent the last several years living abroad, leading expeditions across the continents of Europe, Asia, and Africa. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management where she studied Business Strategy, International Development, and Nutrition – and was an athlete on the Women’s Basketball Team.  Further, she attended the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge to study Social Innovation and Corporate Strategy and has spent the past three summers living in Portugal, India, and Malawi.  She works as a travel and food photojournalist, and hosts a variety of wellness courses around the world (from cooking to athletic training).

Her international experiences and love for health & wellness led her to found Acanela, a boutique travel company aimed at providing individuals the opportunity to immerse themselves in unique hands-on courses around the world.  Acanela has enabled Kylie to meet and train with men & women from a variety of countries, including India, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, and Mozambique. Through her many interactions with these individuals, Kylie has dedicated considerable time to analyzing the progress of men & women in different areas of the world.  Acanela’s mission is to improve the lives of poverty-stricken men and women through their expeditions that promote positive ecotourism.
